Collection: Juan B Plaza

Juan’s artistic career started in the early 2000’s when he began doodling in the small A4 format using China ink and engineering precision pens. These pieces matured into an entire series that culminated with the creation of a genderless character known as Dr. Wiggl’s PhD (www.doctorwiggls.com). In 2006 Juan was selected as Artist of the month of the Orlando Museum of Art and he had a solo exhibit at the museum art shop. From 2005 to 2008 Juan exhibited on a permanent basis at the OSGS Gallery in West Palm Beach. For over two decades Juan has focused on this theme of China ink on paper until 2021 when he decided to explore color and large formats (www.juanbplaza.com). Today Juan combines his themes of small and large formats and uses inspiration based on his love of words, mathematics, aviation and business.
