Collection: Phyllis Agrest

My name is Phyllis Agrest. Since middle school, I started doing illustrations for our monthly school paper. I knew that art would always play a big part in my life.

I was an art major in college, and went to the Arts Student League in Manhattan for extra classes. When my husband and I bought in Boca Raton, I eventually applied to the Artist Guild Gallery on Federal Highway. My first show I won first place and it has inspired me to continue painting. I work mostly in acrylic and sometimes use mixed media.

My work is representative of life’s daily struggles. It is in someway called street or graffiti art, depicting todays daily pressures-it is an expression of my feelings. Painting has brought me peace during some very difficult times. I hope you enjoy my work!
